Allan graduated from AUT in 2011 and joined the Dynamic team in 2015. Allan completed his Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at AUT and has previously toured with the Wellington Phoenix football team and several NZ age group representative teams. Allan really enjoys his work with young footballers, having gone through the age group rep teams himself as well as representing New Zealand as an All White. Allan has a particular interest in sports injuries and working to restore faulty body movement patterns that may result in injury.

Laura

Laura Thomson

Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist
NZRPT, BHSc (Physiotherapy) 

Laura graduated from AUT in 2017 with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy. Laura has played in a large variety of sports over the years and has most recently competed in multiple NZIFBB bodybuilding competitions. This has fired her interest in gym based exercises, strength and conditioning and gym based rehabilitation, with a particular interest in shoulders. Laura has recently worked alongside the Waikato 7's rugby team during National tournaments and is currently working with the Forrest Hill men’s football team. Laura is passionate about helping people return to the sports and activities that are most important to them.

Tracy

Tracey Lydiard

Tracey graduated from AUT University with a Bachelor of Health Science in Physiotherapy in 2013. Since graduating, Tracey moved to London and gained experience working for the NHS in an acute community setting. After 2 years, Tracey arrived back in New Zealand and worked as a physiotherapist in a private practice.  Tracey has a keen interest in hockey and is a regular player. Tracey has been heavily involved with North Harbour Hockey and is the team physio for the NZ under 18 boys team, as well as the under 21 men’s and NHL teams (who both won national titles respectively). She also recently accompanied the NZ Masters Hockey team to the world cup in Spain. Tracey is passionate about injury prevention and helping clients achieve their goals as early as possible.

Tom Mason

Tom Mason

Tom graduated from AUT in 2011, completing his post-graduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2015, alongside Allan.  The post-graduate diploma helped to extend Tom’s ability to diagnose and manage more complex conditions, as well as developing his skills in spinal manipulation.  Tom has previously been involved with ASB premiership football, international softball, and has assisted with NZ age group teams.  He has been the physiotherapist for Albany United Football Club for the last 5 seasons, a position that he has enjoyed immensely.  Tom is passionate about helping clients take charge of their injuries and get back to everyday life as quickly as possible.

James Suh

Acupuncturist

James graduated in 2016 from New Zealand College of Chinese Medicine with a Bachelor of Health Science in Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine, accredited acupuncturist by ACC and is registered with Acupuncture New Zealand to ensure the safest and highest standard of treatment. James has a specific interest in sports acupuncture and stress related conditions such as poor sleep, gastro-intestinal, anxiety and weight management. Since graduating, James has been involved in several hockey tournaments with North Harbour Hockey, treating and supporting athletes through their injuries and rehabilitation. James is passionate about helping people to maintain a fit and healthy lifestyle by integrating a holistic approach, identifying and treating the root cause of injuries and disorders.

Sophie Maddox

Receptionist

Sophie joined the team as our receptionist in March 2018. Sophie is a keen horse rider, and when she’s not here at the clinic she runs her own equestrian business. Sophie is a fundamental part of our Dynamic Physio team, and helps keep everything running smoothly.
